TUTORIAL Using the PS3 controller to your Mac via bluetooth
Who wants to use cables?
Some time ago, Colin Munro has created a driver to use the PS3 control the mac, but could only be used connected to the USB cable, making it somewhat uncomfortable. Now, thanks to Snow Leopard, and unknown reasons, the control works via Bluetooth, but only if you install the driver. Do not even try without the driver.
So here are the instructions to connect your PS3 to control your Mac to play (especially) with their emulators, and other games.
What you need:
1-A PS3 either control or DualShock 3 Sixaxis.
2-A Mac with Leopard (I'm currently using version 10.6.6)
The 3-driver Colin you can download from their website:
4-A USB cable
Instructions:
Make sure your Mac is visible via bluetooth.
Install the driver and reboot when prompted by the installer.
Turn off the PS3 (if you have one) to switch back.
Plug the DualShock 3/Sixaxis control the Mac with the USB cable and press the PS button.
Disconnect the cable, and press the button again PS.
In the Bluetooth preference pane should have a device called the PLAYSTATION (R) 3 Controller offline, do nothing, wait and control is connected in a few seconds.
All set.
Just remember to disconnect the control panel from the bluetooth menu bar so you do not run out of battery.
To reconnect the control and only have to press the PS button and go.
The only "strange" is that the burden of controlling LEDs will be flashing all the time, although this does not affect performance.
Snow Leopard NOTE ONLY ... ALSO THERE IS A DRIVER FOR THE XBOX 360 CONTROL ON THE SAME PAGE IS EASIER .. INTAL
